ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I’m April.
I like the long way.
Triathlete, scuba diver, curious human—and a firm believer that the most interesting stories start just beyond comfortable.

Work Hard, Tri Hard began as a place to document training. It became a record of the places endurance can take us—physically, mentally and occasionally underwater.
I write candidly about racing, recovery and the imperfect reality behind athletic goals. No miracle plans. No pretending every session is profound. Just useful lessons, memorable mistakes and the joy of finding out what happens next.
When I’m not swimming, cycling or running, I’m usually looking for another way to get wet. Scuba and freediving stories live here too, alongside reflections on health and the life built around sport.
